The Advantages and Disadvantages of Implementing FL Studio in Sound Trax

1. Introduction

This paper presents a proposal to analyze the possibilities of implementing FL Studio in the company Sound Trax as a software platform. The main aim of this proposal is to provide an insight into what a digital audio workstation is and how it can be used within our organization. As our company is currently at the crossroad of choosing the software platform, based on which the activities will be performed, I believe that it is important to consider all relevant aspects of using a DAW. With the wide availability of the software in the market, my proposal is concerned specifically with FL Studio, software, Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) developed by Image-Line. The proposal briefly outlines the main advantages and disadvantages of using FL Studio as well as other relevant information which might help in making a decision about its implementation in our company.

2. What is a digital audio workstation?

A digital audio workstation (DAW) is “a powerful computer system used for audio recording, editing and playback” (What is a DAW?, 2018). In other words, it is a software platform which enables its users to record, edit and mix digital audio. Nowadays, there is a wide range of different DAWs available on the market. They vary in terms of their features and price. However, all of them share the same basic principle of operation.

The usage of DAWs has become very popular in recent years due to the fact that they offer a much more efficient way of working with audio than traditional methods. In addition, they also allow for a higher degree of flexibility and creativity. For instance, with a DAW it is possible to create music without having any prior knowledge or experience of playing an instrument. Moreover, DAWs can be used for both personal and professional purposes.

3. The advantages of using FL Studio

There are several reasons why I believe that FL Studio would be a good choice for our company. Firstly, it is one of the most popular DAWs available on the market. This is particularly important for our company as we have limited resources and we need to be able to use the software quickly and efficiently.

Another advantage of using FL Studio is that it offers a wide range of plugins which can be used to extend its functionality. For instance, we could use plugins to add new instruments or effects to our recordings. In addition, FL Studio also supports VST plugins which would give us even more flexibility in terms of what we can do with our recordings.

In conclusion, I believe that FL Studio would be a good choice for our company as a software platform.
