This essay discusses the problem of racism in employment practices and how it can be solved through social justice. Racism in employment practices is an act of discrimination that has been going on for many years and continues to this day. This problem is not only faced by minorities, but also by women and other marginalized groups. Social justice is defined as the fair and just treatment of all people regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or other status. It includes ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to access education, employment, housing, and healthcare. The Franciscan values of compassion, humility, simplicity, peacemaking, and respect for all creation can also be applied to the issue of racism in employment practices.
